What Makes a Mother Smile?

Nets keep children in Ethiopia healthier, safe from malaria and help them grow up strong

Mothers like Kidist Ketema Semu smile big when their babies have a good appetite and eat well.

Malaria is endemic in Kidist's community of Kombulcha in Ethiopia.  In this region many young children die and many more become sick and weakened from malaria.

But since Kidist received an insecticide-treated bed net, she and her little son Babila Charles are protected from this deadly disease.

Babila is strong, healthy, and getting bigger every day.  Nothing makes a mother smile like watching her baby grow up healthy.
