Nothing But Nets in Liberia

Nothing But Nets in Liberia

In 2008 and 2009, Nothing But Nets provided 60,000 bed nets to support the UN Refugee Agency's work to protect refugees in Liberia who were reintegrating into their home communities.

Since the beginning of the political crisis in Cote d'Ivoire late in 2010, thousands of Ivoirians were forced to flee to neighboring Liberia. UNHCR provided families with food, water, and shelter, the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign stepped up to provide urgently needed bed nets to over 70,000 refugees.

In April 2011, Nothing But Nets followers provided enough support in one month to send 40,000 bed nets to Liberia, ensuring a healthier future for refugee families in need.

In total, Nothing But Nets supporters have enabled 100,000 bed nets to be distributed in Liberia to help prevent malaria.
