Malaria Hits Children and Pregnant Women Especially Hard

We can cover Zambia with your help and protect children and pregnant women from malaria.

Every year about four million Zambians become ill with malaria.  It hits young children and pregnant women especially hard.

Fifty percent of all hospital admissions of children under five is for malaria.  And tragically, every sixty seconds a child dies from this deadly disease.

Medications to treat malaria are expensive and drain national health resources.

However, malaria can be prevented and children's lives saved with a simple insecticide-treated bed net.  That's all it takes.
